Watch Something
One of the things that helps me the most when I'm feeling terrible is watching a funny tv show. No, it's not a cure or anything but it does help get your mind off things and maybe even relax a little. Find something that makes you laugh, it doesn't have to be something new it can be the show you've rewatched 17 times as long as it makes you smile a little bit.
Here are a few suggestions:
Psych
New Girl
Friends
The Office
Parks and Recreation
Arrested Development
Modern Family
Scrubs

A Song
If you are part of the LGBT+ community remember that there is nothing wrong with you. People can be terrible but that has nothing to do with who you are it's about them and their own insecurities and uncertainties. You are important, you are valid, and your life is needed.

"You're here now which means you can stay another day, you can stay the day after that and you can stay as long as you need to become your own success story."

Turn Off Triggers
Whether it's self-harm, eating disorders, PTSD, or suicidal thoughts you need to do your best to avoid triggers. As soon as you feel yourself slipping into those thinking patterns stop the video, close the book, shut off social media I know that it's hard but you need to do what's best for you. If it is triggering turn it off.
